Smoky Sweet Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Smoky Sweet Grilled Cheese Sandwich


  • 2 slices Bacon
  • 1 Small Banana
  • 2 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 2 teaspoons Tabasco Chipotle
  • 2 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 2 slices Whole Wheat Bread
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, divided


1. In a skillet, cook bacons over medium heat until crisp. 2. While bacons are cooking, peel and slice banana thinly lengthwise. 3. Make sandwich spread. Put cream cheese and chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 10-15 seconds. Take the bowl out and stir to melt chocolate chips. Add tabasco and stir to blend well. 4. When the bacons are cooked, drain on paper towels and set aside. Discard the excess bacon fat in the skillet and put banana slices into the skillet. Cook both sides of bananas over medium heat until browned. 5. On one side of slice bread, spread the cream cheese mixture, put bacons, bananas and Swiss cheese slices. Put the other slice bread to close sandwich. 6. Melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat in another skillet. Place the sandwich and cook swirling occasionally until bottom side is browned. 7. Take the sandwich out and place on a cutting board or plate. Melt 1 tablespoon butter into the same skillet and return the sandwich, uncooked side down. Reduce heat to medium-low heat and cook swirling occasionally until the second side is golden brown and cheese melt.
