Aloha Grilled Cheese

Aloha Grilled Cheese


  • 2 slices French bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2oz. Canadian bacon or deli ham
  • 2 slices pineapple
  • 2 slices red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil
  • 2oz. Rumiano’s Organic Smoked Mozzarella, slice or grated
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional


Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread, Place one slice of bread, butter side down in skillet over medium heat. Combine mayo, ginger and garlic and spread half on top of bread. Top this with ham, pineapple, red pepper, basil and cheese. Sprinkle with pepper flakes, if desired. Top this with slice of bread that has been spread with remaining mayo. Grill until golden brown on both sides. Makes 1 sandwich.
