Organic trends alive and well at Expo West
It's been about a month since Anaheim's Natural Products Expo West 2014 and it's still fresh in the minds like it were last week. It keeps getting bigger and bigger every year, there were two extra halls opened for 2014. Expo West 2014 was a record breaking year with 67,000 attendees and the most first time exhibitors in the show's history. It's easy to say that this year's Expo was quite extraordinary.
With so much to see it's easy to get lost in the shuffle and miss some great new trending topics from the show. One of the most relevant trends we saw at Expo West 2014 was -- as you might assume -- the market for organic dairy products. Organic products have had a huge market growth in the last couple of years and by the demand we've seen, it's still growing strong. Companies from around the world are looking for organic dairy, organic whey protein powder, and dry dairy powders all together. It was evident by this year's Expo that organic dairy is still an exploding trend and we won't see it fading anytime soon.
The organic seal has become a "mainstream" attribute that customers are looking for in their daily shopping. It may seem redundant but organic is still a force that will be influencing the food industry for years to come.
