How to Open a Block of Cheese with Ease

You’ll need:
(1) Sharp and clean knife
(1) Block of Rumiano Family Organic cheese
(1) Clean cutting board


Step 1: Set the block of cheese on the cutting board, with the largest lip of plastic facing upward. Using the point of the knife horizontally cut into the plastic lip (make sure you are cutting away from yourself at all times!)

Step 2: Push the knife (away from you!) horizontally along the top of the block, resting the blade on top of the cheese. Saw constantly until you reach the end of the wrap and the knife breaks free.

Step 3: Pull back the strip of plastic you cut, opening the package slightly.

Step 4: Once the plastic has been pulled back, an opening should be revealed. Place the knife into the slit

Step 5: Cut the plastic while the blade rests on the flat side of the cheese.

Step 6: After slicing horizontally, and vertically, the wrap should easily peel back, opening the block.

Step 7: Cut the cheese and enjoy!
