Rumiano Cheese Co. Wins 3rd Place for Butter and Dry Jack at 2013 American Cheese Society Conference

This year the American Cheese Society Conference (ACS) in Madison, Wisconsin celebrated it's 30th anniversary with the annual competition for North American cheese-makers. Beginning July 31st and ending August 3rd, the contest brought in over 1,700 varieties of dairy products, from cow's butter and cheese curds to unripened goat's milk cheese.

The ACS is a non-profit organization created to support North American specialty and artisan cheese. It provides everything from education and advocacy to business development for industry members. 

At this years ACS, we were awarded two 3rd place medals. One, was a first time award for Rumiano Cheese; our cow's milk, unsalted butter was placed 3rd in its division! The second medal was for our classic Dry Jack. In fact, the past five years of attending ACS, the Rumiano Dry Jack has been able to secure 3rd place or better!
